DIKSHANT SAMAROH

Since the modest beginning in the year 1998, Dronacharya College of Engineering has emerged as one among top world-class technical institutions through its innovative approaches in education, research and entrepreneurship programmes.

The 8th Convocation commenced with academic procession walking into the festooned Auditorium, on 19th  June 2010, in tune with the convocation music being played at the entrance. We were extremely fortunate to have with us Prof. R. K. Chauhan, Former Secretary, U. G. C., New Delhi as the Chief-Guest who lighted the lamp and declared the ceremony open. It was followed by an invocation song to Goddess Saraswati. Hon’ble Principal, Prof. (Dr.) B. M. K. Prasad, welcomed the audience and reminded the students to follow the path of dedication, integrity, sincerity, truth, honesty and above all loyalty to their employers. He also expressed that every Dronacharyan should make the best use of time; all their actions and deeds should be oriented towards sustainable development.

The Chief-Guest, Prof. R. K. Chauhan, shared that DCE is making tremendous improvements with creativity and innovation in imparting quality education. The reasons of this phenomenal growth and achievement are the discipline, dedication and devotion of Dronacharya fraternity. Towards the close of his speech, he referred to four keys to success i.e. focus, confidence, time-management and sustainability. He also highlighted the duties and responsibilities of young engineers who are the stewards of our nation and custodians of our tradition and values.

He distributed degrees to 270 candidates who passed out their B.Tech. in 2009. After the award of degrees, the young engineers took the pledge to be responsible citizens and serve the cause of the nation. It was, indeed, an unforgettable ambiance immersed into the confluence of experienced intelligentsia bestowing the impeccable and dynamic Dronacharyans with their B.Tech degrees- a culmination of their well carved –out careers.

The convocation ceremony was ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Gutpa, HOD, Applied Sciences and Humanities in the presence of all HODs and Advisor (R&D).

The function was closed with the recitation of the National Anthem.
