FIA 2009 WINNERS

There is an old proverb: “It doesn’t rain but pours” This has a great relevance in view of DCE’s growing graph of Merits on the academic front and on the Research and Development front. It is often said ‘History repeats itself’ – this also seems to be true when we review our achievements on Industrial Projects front. Encouraged by our past achievements in this arena this year too our sterling students made an enthusiastic participation in FIA- Faridabad’s prestigious Industrial Project competition held on 13th May, 2009 at Faridabad.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering won the coveted First Prize for their highly innovative Project ‘Heart Beat Monitor’ The team comprising of following Final year students completed this Project are: Aashish Dhoundiyal, Anmol Mahani, Arun Verma, Kartik Mohan and Naveen Goyal.The afore-stated students have designed and fabricated a low-cost light weight and easy-to-use device which can measure the heart beat accurately in less than two minutes.

The Second Prize was bagged by a team of following students: Kalpana, Aditi Thakran and Ashish Dahiya of the Computer Science & Engineering and the Department of Information & Technology for their admirable and uniquely useful project: ‘Folder Protection System’. The afore-stated students have designed software which protects the computer from the attack of Cyber Warriors. The dedicated guides of these projects, the HODs and the Faculty members deserve high accolades.
